LO2 2.2 What does a higher education institution require?

 

All information originated from UCAS, which is the most well-known and easily navigated website when it comes to looking for the best higher education courses for yourself personally and their requirements as well as the different types of courses such as Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Apprenticeships. There are many different digital media-related courses available to be looked into on this website such as:

Undergraduate

Digital Marketing at Aberystwyth University

3 year, full-time course about digital marketing which will allow you to gain a Bachelor’s of Science (with Honours). This course requires either 120 - 96 UCAS points, BBB - CCC grades from A-level exams, Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma 9 (first teaching from September 2016) with DDM - MMM, Access to a HE Diploma, done an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program resulting in 30 - 26 points, a Welsh Baccalaureate with an Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (first teaching September 2015) or a minimum grade C or grade 4 at GCSE.

Visual Effects (VFX) for Film and Television at the Arts University Bournemouth

This is a three year, full-time course resulting in a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. The requirements for this course are either 112 - 120 UCAS points, BBC - BBB grades at A-level exams, a Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) resulting in a DMM or a Scottish Higher resulting in a CCCCCD.

Digital Digital Media Production at Anglia Ruskin University

3 year, full-time course coming to a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) at the Cambridge Campus. The requirements for this course are either 96 UCAS points, Access to a HE Diploma or a grade C or grade 4 at GCSE level.

Bath University studying Animation

This is a three year, full-time course which will result in a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours). The requirements of this course are either BCC - CCC grades at A-Level, Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) resulting in MMM, Access to HE Diploma resulting in a merit (30 credits) or an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 27 points, With additional entry requirements including an Interview and a Portfolio.

Film Making at BIMM Institute

This is a three year, full-time course at Screen and Film School Brighton which would result in a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) degree. The entry requirements for this course are either 64 UCAS points, CC grades at A-level exams, Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) resulting in MMP, Access to HE Diploma resulting in either D: 0 credits - M: 24 Credits or P: 36 Credits or an International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme resulting in 24 points.With additional entry requirements including an Interview and a Portfolio.

University of Brighton Design for Digital Media

This is a 3 year course, full-time course at the University of Brighton, which would lead to a Bachelor of Arts (with honours) – BA (Hons). The entry requirements for this course are either 112-96 UCAS points or with A-Levels graded anywhere from CCC-BBC. Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM – MMM. Access to HE Diploma - M: 24 credits. International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 26 points. Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H3, H3, H4. With additional entry requirements including an Interview and a Portfolio.
