Unit 20 Adverts

  1. Mcdonalds free WiFi advertisement, Using the very recognisable, and well known worldwide Mcdonalds chip, they have created the WiFi sign to make the advert more recognisable, I believe this is a good move from Mcdonalds and will be quite successful due to the type of  advert style they have used.
  2. From this Advert, they aren't necessarily releasing a new product, but they are promoting that they now have free WiFi in their restaurants worldwide, which will definitely attract more people to their already very popular restaurant.
  3. Using this Advert, Mcdonalds may well be using this to compete with other Fast-Food places such as KFC and Burger King as they now have something which the others don't, Free WiFi and this will work as an attraction mechanism as many people don't like going more than 10 minutes without interaction with the internet.
  4. From this Ad, they are not re-branding.
  5. I do not believe from this Advert, they are looking for feedback but the Advert they have created will receive positive feedback due to WiFi being a very admirable thing is this digetic world.

Boots and Soltan Advert- https://youtu.be/f6MIqhh13tk
  1. Using this Advert, Boots X Soltan have tried to raise awareness on what the dangers of the sun are and how it can damage you. Here, they are promoting their own sun cream/ body cream, to hopefully prevent people from being permanently damaged by the sun.
  2. In this Advert, I believe they are promoting a new brand of sun cream.
  3. Using this Advert, i don't believe they are trying to compete with other competitors, as they are just trying to raise awareness of the real dangers and damage the sun can cause permanently.
  4. I do not believe from this Advert that they are re-branding, just wholesomely intending to raise awareness.
  5. From this Advert, you cannot actually tell if they are looking for  feedback, however people will leave reviews online.

Cadburys Dairy Milk Advert-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnzFRV1LwIo

  1. Using this Advert, Cadburys have arguably revolutionised Advertisements, using the Celebrity Phil Collins' song 'In the air tonight' was something that was never done before.
  2. From this Advert, I do not think they were releasing a new product, just using new techniques of advertising.
  3. Using this advert, Cadbury's may have well been attempting to compete with other competitors as they used an type of advert that had never been used before, therefore potentially pushing them ahead in terms of Advertising.
  4. From this Advertisement, I do not think that they were re-branding.
  5. Using this Advert, they might of been attempting to gain feedback from their audience to see if they preferred that type of advertisements or the original type of adverts
